Melanie K. Bartlett is a Canadian children's book author from Victoria, B.C. Her love for writing began when she was six years old, when she wrote her first short story. Through her stories, Melanie hopes her readers will learn about empathy, kindness, and respect towards other people, animals, and towards themselves.

Melanie currently lives in Eastern Ontario with her husband Will and their dog Pippin.
